Las autoridades de Tailandia lanzarán una nueva visa que permite a los extranjeros permanecer en el país durante más de nueve meses si primero siguen las reglas de cuarentena.

According to the Bangkok Post report, internationals must book their accommodation and follow the 14 days quarantine rules upon their arrival. When they complete self-isolation, they will be eligible to freely move around the country.
Even though the authorities have announced that the new visa could be launched next month, the government hasn’t clarified yet whether internationals will be required to undergo COVID-19 tests or other measures imposed by the country’s health authorities to stop the further spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
After their initial approval, international travellers will be eligible to renew their visas twice, which means that they will be able to stay 270 days or nearly nine months. However, the number of this kind of visa that will be issued is limited to only 1,200 per month.
Even though the Coronavirus pandemic has caused more than 3,000 Coronavirus cases of infections in Thailand, up to this point, the country has not closed its doors for international tourists who wish to visit the country this summer. Before the Coronavirus outbreak, citizens of 28 countries could travel visa-free to Thailand under 30 days.
Up to this point, health authorities in Thailand have registered a total of 3,514 infections from the Coronavirus pandemic, while 59 persons have died.
A total of 3,345 persons have been totally recovered from the deadly virus, so far, according to the statistics published by Worldometers. At present, there are 110 active cases in Thailand.
